Each month, we will highlight some remarkable work from our campus education or from the MOOCs. Now at the end of January we would like to show recent work related to a TU–Delft campus course about Architecture Presentation.
20 students were exploring many ways to present. There were a number of given themes that had to be presented with a historic overview and a future scenario. They exercised in making project posters, short oral presentations, a video, an exhibition and they focussed for two weeks on one specific skill. Anjes Swart, one of the students in the thematic group about light, made a remarkable study on shadows. She built abstract models that shed very clear but surprising shadows. This was in reference to shadow sculptures by Hong Yi and Tim Noble & Sue Webster. Anjes' first presentation product was a poster with a shadow in the form of the word 'shadow'. |
Some people only see two plastic trays and two rolls of sketching paper, but most people see a funny cookie monster. This relates to the 'Emergence & Imagination' theme from week 3 of the IMAGE ABILITY course. WIkipedia comes to the rescue to tell you more about Pareidolia.
